Advisory Groups and Roundtables

Mayor's Advisory Groups (MAG) are tasked with investigating a specific issue and seeking input from the community. Each MAG has representation from members of the community, allowing councillors to hear their comments directly. MAGs will present their findings to Mayor Burton.

Each MAG is listed below.  Please click on the names to learn more about each one.

Bronte Vision
Working with members of the community, Ward 1 Councillors Alan Johnston and Ralph Robinson developed a prioritized list of planning goals for Bronte Village and their ward.

Plastic Packaging
Reflecting the widespread concern about the problem caused by non-degradable plastic bags and other commercial packaging, Mayor Burton designated Town Councillor Max Khan to lead a MAG to develop ideas to reduce, reuse and recycle plastic packaging in Oakville.

Creative Oakville - Arts and Culture Economic Development Opportunities
Ward 3 Councillor Mary Chapin will lead the new Creative Oakville MAG that will research the impact of Oakville's arts and cultural community on our municipal economy, and provide feedback on how Council can help the community thrive.
