Blueprint Oakville - Planning Oakville's FutureWelcome to Blueprint Oakville - everything you need to know regarding the future of our community. The focus of this section is to inform you of initiatives the Town of Oakville has undertaken that will shape our community for years to come. The Town has initiated the following studies:
- Environmental Strategic Plan
- Development Charges By-law Study
- Parks, Recreation, Culture & Library Master Plan
- North Oakville Secondary Plan
- North Oakville Subwatershed Studies
- Transportation Master Plan
The Subwatershed Studies, describing the ecosystem of the lands north of Dundas, provide vital information to the research and study of the Transportation Master Plan, the North Oakville Secondary Plan and the Parks, Recreation, Culture & Library Master Plan. In turn, these plans will provide the necessary background information to complete the Development Charges By-law Study.
These studies are interrelated and together create a blueprint for the future of our community. The research and public consultation from each study will inform and guide the others. Oakville hosted an innovative charrette in September, 2003 to encourage participation and contribution from the public.
Your Voice Counts - please contact us for more information regarding the public consultation process, or to provide comments and feedback.
