Planning Studies & Projects

Planning studies are comprehensive projects that either look at a geographic area or a topic that affects the whole town. Studies are led by Long Range Planning staff in conjunction with staff from other departments including Transit, Development Engineering, Parks and Open Space, Recreation and Culture, and Finance, as well as staff from Halton Region.

Planning studies typically involve public engagement and undergo technical review. The resulting study is presented to Council and implemented through official plan policies or zoning by-law regulations.
