Culture Lives Here
Culture transforms towns and cities. Culture makes lives richer. The cultural sector has the power to attract tourism and businesses, create jobs and revitalize neighbourhoods.
The Town of Oakville supports programs and services that help residents and visitors participate in the arts, explore our history and engage in our community.
Having a decisive plan for the future of culture in Oakville and a complete picture of our current position enhances our ability to see that plan through—responsibly, comprehensively and with solid business planning for sustainability in place.
Cultural programs include:
- Classes at our many facilities (such as the brand new Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre)
- Exhibits at the Oakville Museum
- Performances at the Oakville Centre for Performing Arts
