June is Recreation and Parks Month

Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO) has declared June is Recreation and Parks Month to increase awareness about the benefits and importance of recreation and parks, and encourage citizens to become more active and engaged in their communities.

The Town of Oakville offers several ways for you to get active your way, every day, from parks and trails in your community to pre-registered programs and drop-in activities. And don't forget to visit the new special events calendar to learn about a wide range of activities taking place across the town.

Please note: Tim Horton's sponsors FREE swims at select times and pools throughout Oakville during the summer. Otherwise, regular admission fees and requirements apply.

Save with a Youth Summer Pool Pass!

Youth ages 2-17 can swim all summer long at all five of our indoor and five of our outdoor pool locations with our Youth Summer Pool Pass, on sale now until July 31!


Please continue to use caution in parks, trails and near the waterfront

While we encourage you to enjoy our parks and trails, safety concerns related to high lake levels have necessitated the closure of Bronte Harbour nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. until further notice.

Staff continue to inspect the harbours as well as lakefront parks and trails on a daily basis and some areas remain closed until further notice.
