Oakville Recreational Hockey League (ORHL)

The Oakville Recreational Hockey League (ORHL) is the town’s adult hockey league (ages 18+) that runs out of the state-of-the-art Sixteen Mile Sports Complex.

Register

ORHL leagues

All leagues run with certified referees and offer 12-24 guaranteed games (depending on the night), including playoffs. Check your registration confirmation carefully for exclusion dates.

Teams wishing to join a league should register with a minimum of 15 players, including a goalie. Individual players may also join the league and will be slotted within a team or combined into a team based on registration numbers and openings.

Full equipment and a CSA helmet with facial protection (half visor minimum) are mandatory. Team jerseys will be provided to all registered players.

The individual registration fee for goalies is $24.15 in each league. All prices include HST and an additional $11.30 non-resident fee applies to individual registrations for participants that do not live in Oakville.

Developmental

The Developmental League is suitable for players that are brand new to hockey or just looking to get back on their skates in a low competitive hockey league where participation and skill development are emphasized. Start date is Monday, April 28, 8:45-11:45 p.m. Team registration is not available for this level. Individual registration fees are $276.85, plus non-resident fee, if applicable (HST is included).

Recreational

The Recreational League is for players who have limited hockey playing experience or have played at the house league level in the past. This is a non-contact league for those looking to stay fit and have fun while enjoying the game of hockey. Three times are available:

  • Monday, 8:45-11:45 p.m., starts April 28. Individual registration fees are $276.85 (plus non-resident fee, if applicable), or register as a team for $3,600 (HST included).
  • Wednesday, 7-11 p.m., starts April 23. Individual registration fees are $339 (plus non-resident fee, if applicable), or register as a team for $4,633 (HST included).
  • Friday, 8-11 p.m., starts May 2. Individual registration fees are $220.35 (plus non-resident fee, if applicable) or register as a team for $2,938 (HST included).

Intermediate

The Intermediate League is for players who have played hockey at a competitive level. This league is fast-paced for the player looking to stay active in hockey while enjoying competition against talented opponents. Start date is Thursday, April 24, 8-11 p.m. Individual registration fees are $339 (plus non-resident fee, if applicable), or register as a team for $4,633 (HST included).

35+ Intermediate

The 35+ Intermediate League is for players 35 years and older, who have played hockey at a competitive level. This league is fast-paced for the player looking to stay active and enjoy competition against talented opponents. Start date is Thursday, April 24, 8-11 p.m. Individual registration fees are $339 (plus non-resident fee, if applicable), or register as a team for $4,633 (HST included).

Women's Competitive/Intermediate/Recreational

The Women's League is for women that are looking for a low-competitive environment and/or who have played hockey at a competitive level and are looking to have fun while playing against women with similar skills. This division can be tiered based on registration. Fair play and fun are emphasized. Start date is Tuesday, April 22, 8-11 p.m. Individual registration fees are $339 (plus non-resident fee, if applicable), or register as a team for $4,633 (HST included).

Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame League is geared toward players ages 40+ looking to stay fit, active and play against players with similar experience. Start date is Wednesday, April 23, 8-11 p.m. Individual registration is not available for this division. Please register as a team for $4,633 (HST included).
