Please be advised
There are a variety of capital improvements that will be occurring at Gairloch Gardens (and Gallery) during the 2015 season.
The main Gairloch Gallery building requires numerous exterior replacements and improvements, and this work will commence in early May and last until approximately mid-July. The work consists of roof repairs, exterior wood cladding and window replacements, painting, along with replacement of the exterior fire escapes. There will also be some minor repairs and replacements to the smaller Studio building as well, during this same time period. To ensure safety of both the public, and the contractors working on the building, it will be necessary to fence off these work areas and install scaffolding to access the higher elements.
The small wooden bridge that currently spans the two ponds in the center of the park is also slated for replacement. The bridge is currently barricaded to prevent public use and will be replaced as soon as possible. We also hope that this work will be completed by mid-July.
Access to any of the park garden areas and trails, should not be impacted by any of these work items. We appreciate your patience as we make these much needed improvements to our facilities.
