Pools and Rentals

Town pools offer swimming lessons for all ages, abilities and levels including Swim to Survive programs. Lessons are available throughout the year. Find program information and register online. All pools also offer recreational swimming and drop-in Waterfit opportunities.

Rentals and facility booking

Pool availabilityIndoor pools are open year-round. Daytime rentals are available for schools to provide: one-hour fun swims, swim tests or structured swim lessons.

Outdoor pools are open from late June to the end of August, with special events all summer long! All outdoor pools are available to rent during the summer, however there are no refreshments rooms.

The town is committed to serving the needs of user groups who wish to utilize our five indoor and/or five outdoor pool facilities. Pool allocation is based on the allocation policy.

Online availability search

You can search online to check the availability of pools. To request the time, submit a completed facility request form and you will be contacted by facility booking staff on the next business day. Standard booking procedures will apply.

When do I request a pool permit?

A timetable for request submission and permit confirmation for seasonal permits is set annually. Current clients in good standing will be contacted and requested to submit their requirements to the booking clerk before each season deadline.

Download the appropriate application form and submit according to the following timelines:

Fall/winter/spring indoor pools

September – June
Submission deadline: May 15
Confirmation deadline: June 15

Summer indoor and outdoor pools

July – August
Submission deadline: Nov 15
Confirmation deadline: Dec 15

Casual Bookings

Short-term or single use bookings are available following the permit confirmation deadlines for each season on a first-come first-served basis. Permits are confirmed when signed by an authorized representative. Confirmed permits require full payment, or approved monthly payment plan for the period of the scheduled bookings.

Casual bookings at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre are handled by the Special Events/Membership/Scheduling Coordinator at QEPCCC. Please call 905-845-6601, ext. 4683 for more information.

What else do I need to know?

  • Rates are based on a maximum of 30 people on deck.
  • Additional charges for lifeguards will apply for larger groups.
  • All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.

Rates and fees (per hour)

Council approves rental fees annually based on current market trends, base rates/fees and current budget requirements. The rates are subject to change pending council approval.

Facility rates include all applicable taxes. The following rates are effective as of September 1, 2014:

Youth: $155.50
Adult: $246
Commercial: $304.50

Centennial Pool, Glen Abbey Community Centre Pool, Queen Elizabeth Community and Cultural Centre and White Oaks Pool

Adult: $186.50
Commercial: $230.50

Extra guard rates (per hour)

Monday to Friday 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.: $21.83
All other hours: $18.31
