Hours of operation

Monday to Thursday – 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Fridays – 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday – 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

River Oaks Community Centre boasts a variety of activities to take part in including fitness classes and programs, recreational skating, racquet sports, Oakville Hockey Development programs, and Team Training. The River Oaks Mature Adults Club (ROMAC) also calls the facility home.

  • Community Room A: Large rate, holds approx. 230
  • Community Room B: Large rate, holds approx. 100
  • Community Room C: Medium rate, holds approx. 30
  • Boardroom: Small rate, holds approx. 15
  • Off Ice Rooms: Small rate, holds approx. 15

Fitness and recreation

River Oaks Community Centre offers a wide variety of fitness and wellness programs including group cycling, fitness classes and assessments, personal training, nutritional counseling and registered massage therapy. The fitness centre boasts an indoor track, circuit, weight training and cardio equipment, a fitness studio with sprung aerobic floor, a spinning studio and squash and racquetball courts.

Child minding is available Monday to Friday, 9–11 a.m.

Ice

Oakville’s arenas boast a variety of on-ice activities including classes and programs, recreational skating, Oakville Hockey Development programs, the Oakville Recreational Hockey League, and rental opportunities.

Facilities at River Oaks Community Centre include:

  • A Pad, 190 by 85 feet, capacity 160 on ice
  • B Pad, 200 by 100 feet, capacity 180 on ice
  • Shooter Pad #1, 36 by 20 feet, capacity 6 on ice
  • Shooter Pad #2, 27 by 20 feet, capacity 6 on ice
  • Snack bar
