Join the Town of Oakville and the world by participating in Earth Hour 2009!
Earth Hour is a global lights-out initiative created by the World Wildlife Fund. Millions of people around the globe and here in Canada will turn off their lights for one hour on March 28 at 8:30 p.m. to show support for action on climate change.
Last year, residents surpassed the 5 per cent energy conservation goal and achieved energy savings of 8.2 per cent. This year the Town's goal is to reduce energy consumption by 10 per cent during the hour!
