Final weekend to donate to the Mayor's Haiti Relief Fund
The Oakville Mayor's Haiti Relief Fund will wrap up this weekend and February 7 will be the last day that donations are accepted. All money raised by the fund will be donated to Doctors Without Borders and UNICEF Canada. Donations must be made before February 12 to be matched by the federal government.
The Mayor's fund has raised over $16,700 so far and donations will still be accepted this weekend at Oakville's seven fire stations and Oakville branches of TD Canada Trust.
The fundraising effort has been very successful. Our community has once again shown its generosity and willingness to help those in need.
