Members of the public are invited to attend and provide input at a public meeting hosted by the Planning and Development Council, at which time, a decision may be made.

Proposal:
The purpose of this application is to amend the Official Plan and Zoning By-law for the purpose of increasing the permitted lot size and Gross Floor Area of an existing Neighbourhood Commercial Centre and to permit the potential use or construction of additional buildings on the property. A Temporary Use By-law is proposed for the purpose of permitting the re-use the existing "Main Lumber" building for commercial uses for a temporary period. The subject lands are located on the north-east corner of Trafalgar Road and Cornwall Road. These lands are also subject to a site plan application, file number: SP.1612.30/01.

Appeals:
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Oakville before the by-law is passed:

  1. the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; and
  2. the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.

Individuals are requested to submit a written outline of any oral submissions made at the Public Meeting to the Town Clerk.
