Notice of Temporary Road Closure - Shepherd Road Bridge over Speers Road
July 6 to September 4, 2009
To rehabilitate the Shepherd Road Bridge over Speers Road including repair works on the road, safety improvements to major bridge components, stairway and fence repair, and to expedite construction, Shepherd Road Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic from Monday, July 6 to Friday, September 4.
Access to Shepherd Road business area will be maintained from Kerr Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained all times with the exception of two weekend closures of the stairway access from Speers Road. Oakville Transit bus route 15 will be temporarily re-routed around the construction area. Please visit the Oakville Transit website for schedule and service updates.
During the closure, the signed detour route will be via Kerr Street and Queen Mary Drive/Stewart Street. Every effort will be made to minimize the effects of this road closure.
Please exercise caution and obey all signage placed for your safety. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during the construction period.
