Cancelled - Statutory Public Meeting - Zoning By-law Amendment

Members of the public are invited to attend and provide input at this public meeting. The applicant is applying for a site-specific zoning by-law amendment to allow for the development of a mixed-use, seniors-oriented residential building.
Proposal If approved by council, the zoning by-law amendment will permit the development of an eight-storey, 143-unit building with a total gross floor area of 15,575 square metres. The proposed building includes 1,094 square metres of residential amenity area and 1,643 square metres of retail/commercial floor area. The applicant is seeking site-specific zoning regulations that are applicable to the proposed development. The subject land is located on the north side of Lakeshore Road West between Nelson and Jones streets. At this time there are no other applications, under the Act, pertaining to the subject land.
Appeals If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Oakville before the by-law is passed:
- the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; and
- the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
Any submission to the Planning and Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than 12 p.m. on the day of the meeting to ensure its availability to the members of council at the meeting. Individuals making oral submissions at the public meeting are requested to submit a written outline of the submission to the Town Clerk. All submissions should include the full name and address of the presenter.
Notification If you wish to be notified of the passing of the proposed zoning by-law amendment, or of the refusal of a request to amend the zoning by-law, you must make a written request to the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk's department, P.O. Box 310, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6J 5A6.
