Statutory Public Meeting - Proposed Official Plan, Zoning By-law Amendment and Plan of Subdivision

Members of the public are invited to attend and provide input at this public meeting hosted by Planning and Development Council.

Proposal
The purpose of these applications are to amend the Official Plan, Zoning By-law  to permit the development of 47 single detached residential units and in addition future residential blocks, a commercial block and open space area. The Draft Plan of Subdivision will legally create the individual lots, roads, open space block, future residential block and commercial block. The property is currently designated Residential Low Density, Residential Special and Natural Area. The site is zoned A - Agricultural. The subject lands are generally bounded by River Oaks Boulevard, the Hydro Corridor, Glenashton Drive and West of Trafalgar Road. At this time there are no other applications, under the Act, pertaining to the subject lands.
 
Appeals
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Oakville before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, zoning by-law amendment is passed or before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision:

  1. the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council or the Director of Planning Services to the Ontario Municipal Board; and
  2. the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. 

Any submission to the Planning & Development Council, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be forwarded to the Clerk's department for receipt no later than 12 noon on the day of the meeting to ensure its availability to the Members of Council at the meeting. Individuals making oral submissions at the public meeting are requested to submit a written outline of the submission to the Town Clerk. All submissions should include the full name and address of the presenter.

Notification
If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed official plan amendment, or of the refusal of a request to amend the official plan and/or the decision of the approval authority in respect of the proposed plan of subdivision you must make a written request to the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk's Department, P.O. Box 310, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON  L6J 5A6.
