North Service Road East Extension to Ford Drive

The construction project involving the extension of North Service Road from Joshuas Creek Drive to Ford Drive has been substantially completed and opened to traffic on December 9, 2015. The project work includes improvements/widening of Ford Drive north and south at the new connection and construction of a new precast pre-stressed concrete girder bridge over Joshua's Creek.

While the through road is open, there will be lane restrictions along the North Service Road in the vicinity of the Joshua's Creek Arena to facilitate the installation of a storm sewer to service the on-going Carterra development lands. One lane in each direction will be maintained at all times during the developer’s work to complete the connection of new Ironoak Way to the North Service Road East. Final restorations including sodding, tree maintenance and the final layer of top asphalt will be completed in the spring/summer of 2017.

The firm of MMM Group (McCormick Rankin Corporation Now WSP Canada Inc.) has been retained to provide consulting services (detailed design and contract administration) and Dufferin Construction Company is the prime contractor for this project.
