Volunteering
One sure way to meet new people, have fun and use your skills (whatever they are!) is by volunteering at either Centre. A wide variety of volunteer opportunities exist - from front desk reception to Committee work; from the Cafe and kitchen to host and hostessing at the Wheels to Meals programs; from cooking at the barbecues to helping arrange for guest speakers - we can always use your help, please contact us!
Seniors' Advisory Committee
This is a volunteer group of seniors who address seniors' concerns and provide input to Town Council on matters that have direct impact on the quality of life for seniors in Oakville. For details, contact Nancy Beddoe at 905-815-5960 or nbeddoe@oakville.ca.
Special Events
Special events at the centres take place throughout the year. Barbecues, fashion shows, spa days, movie afternoons, dinner dances, tea dances, guest speakers, craft sales and bazaars are all planned and offered to the membership by volunteers.
