Councillor Nav Nanda

Ward 7 Town and Regional Councillor

Councillor Nav Nanda was elected as Town and Regional Councillor for Oakville’s Ward 7 in October 2022.

Born in Toronto, Councillor Nanda graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Sociology and from York University with an Honours degree in Law and Society. With experience in the healthcare industry, she has been striving to help the community. She has dedicated her time to volunteering as a member of the Ontario Honours and Awards Advisory Committee, chair of the Oodenawi Public School council, past vice chair of We Love Oakville, as well as the president of the North Oakville Ward 7 Residents Association. Over the years, she has advocated for many issues including new schools and community safety, and she has demonstrated a track record of delivering for the community. 

Councillor Nanda has been living in Oakville since 2007, and with her husband and four children has called Ward 7 home since 2014. Her experience, skills and passion make her well-suited to become a champion the community needs to be the most desirable place for all families to grow.
