Downtown Cultural Hub Study
Downtown Cultural Hub Survey
The town is exploring opportunities to renew its downtown cultural facilities to help support a vibrant, animated and prosperous downtown.
Please share your views by completing the survey. The survey will be available until May 13.
Three options have been developed for the Downtown Cultural Hub.
After evaluating the three options, staff’s preference is Option 3. Before staff makes a recommendation to Council this fall, they’d like to hear from you. Review the three options and email us your comments.
A presentation on the options was made at a public meeting on June 23. If you were not able to attend, videos of the presentation and the question period are available on the Downtown Cultural Hub Study Options page.
The Downtown Cultural Hub Study will explore opportunities to create downtown cultural and performing arts spaces that includes a performing arts centre, art gallery, library, outdoor program space, and indoor cultural space or digital hub that will become the cultural, social, and economic heart of our community.
What would reinventing our cultural facilities downtown mean to you? Let us know by commenting on staff’s preferred option, email us your thoughts or send/tweet us your video of what culture and how new cultural facilities will benefit you and our community. See what others have already told us!
