Ward 6 Town Councillor Natalia Lishchyna
Dr. Natalia Lishchyna was elected Town Councillor for Ward 6 in a by-election held in July 2015.
Councillor Lishchyna, her husband Terry, daughter Alexandra and son Andrew have lived in northeast Oakville since 2003. Since that time, she has been very involved with the Oakville community and has volunteered with a number of local groups and committees: Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Oakville Public Schools, Sheridan Institute of Design and Technology, Mississauga Halton Infection Control Network Steering Committee, Santa Claus Parade, Terry Fox Run, Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre and Trafalgar Township Historical Society.
Councillor Lishchyna is an Assistant Professor at Canadian Memorial Chiropractor College (CMCC) and currently works with chiropractic interns at the teaching clinic in Bronte. She earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University, Doctor of Chiropractic degree and Post Graduate Fellowship from CMCC and a Masters of Science degree from Bournemouth University. She has presented her research at conferences in Australia, Europe, South America and South Africa. She is also the immediate Past President of the Ontario Chiropractic Association.
