Councillor Roger Lapworth was elected to Council for the first time in 2006.
Educated in England in the field of financial management and audit, Councillor Lapworth immigrated to Canada in 1974.
Councillor Lapworth has held positions of vice president of finance and chief financial officer for local corporations for over 30 years. Since 1986, he has operated his own tax consulting business that now has over 1,000 personal and corporate clients.
Councillor Lapworth has lived in Oakville since 1997.
