The Camp Handbook and general information about what to bring can be found on the Camps page. Some specialty camps will also require specific equipment:
- Hockey Programs – All participants in hockey programs must wear full hockey equipment while on the ice, including CSA-approved hockey helmet with full-face cage/shield, and a mouth and neck guard. Bring warm clothes as ice surface temperatures are much cooler than the rest of the facility.
- Skating Programs – All participants must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet and winter gloves while on the ice. Bicycle helmets are not permitted. Bring warm clothes as ice surface temperatures are much cooler than the rest of the facility.
Campers should dress for mess and have all long hair tied back while participating in any of the following programs.

This program is held in a facility that is not allergen-free. Food sensitivities and preferences cannot be accommodated.
Curtain Call – Drama Camp
Participants will enjoy general camp activities as well as work with a specialized instructor for part of the day. The theatre skills fundamentals they learn will be used to create a presentation for families on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
Drop off and pick up campers at the stage door of the theatre, located at the rear of the building (off Water Street).

Summer Camp at the Oakville Museum
Erchless Estate Oakville Museum is located at 8 Navy Street. These programs are unparented, but all campers are to be signed in and out at this location.
Our week-long camps for Juniors (ages 6-9) are offered in July and August, running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Our creative "mini camps" for Tots (ages 4-5) run Tuesdays to Thursdays in August from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m.

Leader in Training – Junior
Week 1
Participants will engage in interactive in-class learning activities to develop their leadership skills and prepare for their placement.
Participants will be swimming daily from 2 to 3 p.m. Please ensure participants have a swimsuit and towel every day.
There is no camp on Monday due to the holiday.
Week 2
Participants will complete a five-day placement on site at one of our summer camp locations to apply what they’ve learned and gain more practical experience as a camp program leader.

Leader in Training – Senior
Week 1
Participants will engage in interactive in-class learning activities to develop their leadership skills and prepare for their placement.
Participants will be swimming daily from 2 to 3 p.m. Please ensure participants have a swimsuit and towel every day.
Participants will build on their leadership skills while participating in two certification courses:
- HIGH FIVE Principles of Health Child Development
- Emergency First Aid with CPR C and AED
Week 2
Participants will complete a five-day placement on site at one of our summer camp locations to apply what they’ve learned and gain more practical experience as a camp program leader.
Code-it Hacks
Campers will develop exciting games to play with their friends for part of the day, then enjoy robotics-themed camp activities and games lead by Play Leaders. Projects will be geared to age and skill.
Mad Science Camps
All Mad Science camps (Junior, ages 6-8, and Senior, ages 9-12) are comprised of a half-day of science instruction given by a professional instructor, and a half-day of fun camp activities and games led by Play Leaders.
Participants should wear closed-toed running shoes and tie long hair back during instruction.
Each week requires separate registration and fees.
Robotics
Specialized instructors from RoboThink will spend half of the day with Juniors (ages 7-9) and Seniors (ages 10-12) leading activities in robotics, STEM and engineering. The rest of the day consists of robotics-themed camp activities and games lead by Play Leaders. Projects will be geared to age and skill.
Humane Society Camps
This animal education camp is offered in partnership with the Oakville and Milton Humane Society at Trafalgar Park Community Centre. Campers in this program swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Aqua Sports Camp
Prerequisite: Campers must be able to swim 25 metres comfortably.
Campers swim daily from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 3 p.m. Please ensure participants have a swimsuit and towel every day.
Hockey Skills with the Oakville Blades
Campers will participate twice in 1.5 hours of ice instruction, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 2 to 3:30 p.m., every day.
A hot lunch will be served daily provided by Puckz Pub.
Learn to Skate Summer Camp with Skate Oakville
Campers will participate in the CanSkate program led by Skate Oakville coaches to help them improve their skating skills from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m.

Lil-Sports
Sport instruction will be based on age and skill.
Need for Speed Competitive Swim Camp
Prerequisite: Campers must be able to swim 25m comfortably.
Improve fitness, build endurance, learn competitive swimming skills, improve strokes, and prepare for the end-of-week mini swim meet.
Campers swim daily from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 3 p.m. Please ensure participants have a swimsuit and towel every day.
Rock and Wave
Participants will enjoy rock climbing activities every morning and swim from 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Campers must wear closed-toe running shoes to participate in rock climbing activities.
All campers must submit a completed Rock Climbing Waiver form (pdf) before camp starts.
Splish Splash Swim Camp
Campers swim daily from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 3 p.m. Please ensure participants have a swimsuit and towel every day.
Sport Camp Junior and Senior (Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Multi-Sport, Soccer and Volleyball)
Glen Abbey Community Centre will be daily sports instruction with swimming on Wednesday and Friday afternoon 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre will offer specialized instruction in the mornings with swimming daily from 2 to 3 p.m. Please ensure participants have a swimsuit and towel every day.
Oodenawi will offer specialized instruction each day. Please check in with the leaders for specific scheduling each week.
River Oaks Community Centre will offer specialized instruction each day. Please check in with the leaders for specific scheduling each week.
Trafalgar Park Community Centre will offer specialized instruction daily with swimming on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Summer Sport and Hockey Camp
Participants will receive specialized on ice instruction each day. Please check in with the leaders for specific scheduling each week. Prior skating knowledge and full hockey equipment is required.
Summer Sport and Skating Camp
This is a recreational skating program. Please bring a helmet and Skates to this program. Children under the age of 17 are required to wear a helmet with full cage.
X-Movement Junior and Senior
Participants will cultivate a positive mindset while engaging in various physical activities such as dance battles, sports and martial arts.
