Statutory Public Meeting

You are invited to participate and provide input at this meeting hosted by the Commissioner of Community Development.

Staff will be presenting a recommendation report with respect to the proposed Temporary Use By-law at this meeting.

The purpose of the application is to amend the Zoning By-law to permit the existing golf driving range including a sales/pro shop, accessory storage shelter and parking area as a temporary use for a three-year period.

The subject land is located east of Trafalgar Road, south of Burnhamthorpe Road East.

At this time there are no other applications, under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, pertaining to the subject lands.

Individuals wishing to make an oral submission at the public meeting are required to  contact the Legislative Coordinator - by noon on Wednesday September 28, 2022 by email to: legislative.cordinator@oakville.ca or call 905-815-5986 to register as a delegation and to obtain instructions on how to participate.

Any written submission to the Commissioner of Community Development, either in hard copy or in electronic format, must be received no later than noon on Wednesday September 28, 2022, to ensure its availability to the Commissioner of Community Development at the meeting. Submissions may be emailed to the Legislative Coordinator at legislative.cordinator@oakville.ca, mailed or delivered c/o the Town Clerk at the Town of Oakville, Clerk’s department, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3 (Dropbox is located in front of Town Hall).

All submissions should include the full name and address of the presenter.

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Commissioner of Community Development, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Commissioner of Community Development before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
