As the province plans for recovery, the town is beginning to carefully and responsibly bring back services and reopen some public spaces, programs and services. Provincial emergency orders and the town’s physical distancing by-law remain in effect. We must all continue to follow guidelines from Public Health officials.

The realignment of Bronte Road (Regional Road 25) affected the previous location of Palermo Park and the town committed to replacing this park facility. In 2009, the town's Parks and Open Space department constructed a new Palermo Park within the north Oakville lands. Palermo Park will eventually link to the Glenorchy Conservation Area.

These proposed improvements will go forward when the appropriate capital funds are approved by Council.
The park is part of the 40 hectare (100 acre) land transfer from the province via Ontario Realty Corporation.
