As the province plans for recovery, the town is beginning to carefully and responsibly bring back services and reopen some public spaces, programs and services. Provincial emergency orders and the town’s physical distancing by-law remain in effect. We must all continue to follow guidelines from Public Health officials.
The Town of Oakville is proud to offer pre-registered and drop-in programs during the holiday season.
Before and After-Care is available for participants in full-day Town of Oakville programs for an additional fee. Separate registration required.
Over the holidays we offer extra drop-in programs, including FREE recreational skates sponsored by Tim Hortons. During all recreational skates, skate and helmet rentals are available at:
Visit Active Oakville, the drop-in program finder, for details regarding pay-as-you-go program options and their most-up-to-date schedules. Programs and services are subject to change, availability, admission requirements and capacity limits, as applicable.
Join us for an hour in the afternoon to make a craft with your child and take a guided tour of Oakville Museum. Several sessions of Craft and Tour at the Museum (ages 4-9) are available. Pre-registration is required. Fee applies to participating children only, but children must be accompanied and assisted by an adult.
Get ready for a fun-filled day that starts at Glen Abbey Community Centre! Campers will enjoy games and activities with an exciting off-site trip in Frequent Flyers (ages 6-12). Waiver forms for specific off-ground trip destinations may be required.
Before and After-Care is available on site at Glen Abbey for an additional $11.33 per day. Separate registration is required. Before and After-Care hours are 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 4:30-6 p.m.

Spend a day with a local artist, drawing, painting and sculpting in the art studios at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (QEPCCC). In Holiday Art Camp (ages 6-12), participants will use a range of fine art materials to make a masterpiece!

Looking to get into the babysitting business? Staff from SOS 4 Kids will provide you with the fundamentals and firsthand knowledge of caring for infants and children in this one-day Red Cross Babysitter Training course (ages 11-14).
Empower children with the confidence and skills to care for themselves when home alone. Taught by staff from SOS 4 Kids, this one-day course includes Red Cross PeopleSavers Level 4, internet safety, and more! Home Alone (ages 9-12) is offered at QEPCCC.
