Effective January 14, Oakville is under a stay-at-home order as part of the second provincial emergency due to COVID-19. Other restrictions are in effect and we must all follow public health guidelines. The town is reviewing the provincial declaration and will post any service impacts as soon as possible.
As part of our There's Snow Place Like Home campaign throughout the winter months, the Town of Oakville is excited to introduce a wide variety of opportunities for families, youth and adults to get outside and stay active while we're practising physical distancing this season. All programs offered follow strict COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
For pay-as-you-go program options and our most-up-to-date schedules, visit Active Oakville, the drop-in program finder. Programs and services are subject to change, availability, admission requirements and capacity limits, as applicable.
Our traditional-style day camp offers kids outdoor recreation activities, active and quiet games, arts and crafts, nature-based exploration, and more. CampOAK (ages 6-12) will be available as a three-day program for the holiday December 21 to 23 at Glen Abbey Community Centre.
Experience the grandeur of a Victorian Christmas at the Oakville Museum with a self-guided tour around the grounds at Erchless Estate. Festive lighting, illuminated Victorian-style silhouettes and text panels explain how so many classic holiday traditions are shared all over the world.
New tour themes will be added over the winter. All activities are in full compliance with provincial regulations.
