The Oakville Seniors Centre is located in the heart of Kerr Village and a short stroll from Downtown Oakville.
Our mission is to provide a welcoming, accessible and supportive environment for Oakville seniors that embodies social, recreational, health and wellness activities. Offering something for everyone, expect this wonderful centre to become your home away from home!
Programs and activities at the Oakville Seniors Centre cater to all levels of interest and abilities. Below is just a sample of all the centre has to offer!
The Town of Oakville provides seniors 80+ an opportunity to get out and socialize with others through our Friendship Luncheon programs. Volunteer drivers pick clients up at their homes (around 10:30 a.m.), bring them to the centres and then return to take them home (around 2 p.m.).
If you are able to volunteer one hour per week, please contact Stephanie Coughlin, at 905-845-6601 ext. 3498, for the Iroquois Ridge Older Adult Centre (every Thursday).
Drivers receive compensation for their mileage.
The Recreation and Culture department needs volunteers for programs, special events, and more. Whether you help out for just one day or longer, you can meet new people, gain valuable job experience and earn community service hours for school. Learn more today!
