Oakville Youth Action Committee

Help your community, represent your peers, meet new people, have fun, earn volunteer hours, and learn new skills. Join the Oakville Youth Action Committee!

The Oakville Youth Action Committee (OYAC) is a group of local volunteers ages 13 to 19 who actively work to shape the future of our community by fostering meaningful youth participation in events and initiatives around town.

Our mission is to empower youth to participate and have a voice in the Town of Oakville, thereby fostering a positive image for all young people. We discuss matters related to youth, provide opportunities to give Oakville youth a voice and engage in community events.

OYAC meets for two hours once per month at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (QEPCCC). Committee members may need to attend two or three meetings per month depending on the project.

The minimum term for OYAC participation is one (1) school year from September to June. Applications for the 2019-2020 school year are now closed.
