Summary

Many new parks and open spaces are being designed and built in the North Oakville Secondary plan area. This includes community parks, neighbourhood parks, parkettes and trail systems. Shieldbay Park is the fourth neighbourhood park being developed in North Oakville. This development also includes a village square.

Project status

The large neighbourhood park (William Rose) is nearing completion. We’re hopeful that remaining items like the basketball court and skateboard bowl can be completed by the end of the year. The

Consultant/contractor

Through Shieldbay Development Corporation (on behalf of the Town of Oakville) Strybos Baron King (SBK) Landscape Architecture completed the design of these parks.

The construction contract has been awarded to Aldershot Landscape Contractors.

New Line has been retained for the design/built of the skateboard park.
