The town is now in Stage 2 of the province’s reopening framework. More town amenities, programs and services are becoming available. Provincial orders remain in effect and we must all follow public health guidelines.
In response to the recent Provincial announcement to allow limited indoor sports and recreational fitness activities, the Town of Oakville is requesting that local community organizations connect and share their short term return-to-play/sport plans to determine eligibility.
Please note that eligible community organizations are required to have a return-to-play/sport plan that aligns with our established Return to Service Playbook. Private rentals are not permitted at this time.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your future rental needs.
Following the Province's current guidelines regarding COVID-19, Sixteen Mile Sports Complex will allow Skate Oakville to book scheduled ice rentals by appointment-only starting June 22.
At this time, figure skating is the only ice sport with provincial approval to return to play. Ice sports groups should check with their local sports organization or governing body for COVID-19 updates.
As provincial guidelines are updated, the Town of Oakville will continue to look for opportunities to expand programming in a safe and responsible manner.
Visit Skate Oakville for related COVID-19 updates and information about their programs.
