Community Clean Up

Individuals and groups who wish to do a community clean up during the COVID-19 pandemic can do so as long as they follow all public health guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Public health officials remind you to:

  • Stay home if you are unwell. Take the Halton public health self-screening test
  • Keep two-metre distance from others
  • Wear a non-medical face mask when indoors and when physical distancing cannot be maintained outdoors
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer.
  • Help children follow public health guidelines

Booking pick up of supplies

Individuals or a community group representative can email Mike Viles, at to place an order for gloves and garbage bags. All supplies can be picked up at Town Hall, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

In your email, please specify:

  • number and size of gloves
  • number of bags and
  • Supply pick up option: 
    • Curbside in front of Town Hall (Staff will deliver supplies to your car in front of the Town Hall main entrance.)
    • Inside Town Hall at the screening table (Only one person can enter the building and must got through the COVID-19 screening process.)

Arrangements for pick up of filled bags

Within 24 hours of completing the clean up, please contact Mike Viles at to let us know the boulevard location, including intersection and/or street, where the filled bags have been placed. We ask for cooperation on the 24 hour deadline to minimize the possibility of other garbage being dumped.
