At both locations there is existing shoreline protection that have starting to deteriorate. Rehabilitation options for the shoreline could include the following or a combination of the following:
Each option will be carefully evaluated based on a set criteria to achieve an overall benefit for the shoreline and neighbouring lands, while also taking into account cost and construction feasibility.
The Town of Oakville is committed to providing the public an opportunity to give their input and advice throughout the study process. As the study gets underway, an open house will take place where you can learn about the projects in more detail and of course, have your say! Please visit back soon for more information on the first open house or contact Diana Friesen if you which to be put on the project mailing list.
