As part of the town’s ongoing Official Plan review, we are planning how the town will manage growth — new residents and jobs — from now until 2041. Our urban structure directs growth to nodes and corridors that are intended to become higher density, transit-supportive, mixed-use communities over the long-term.
You are invited to share your feedback on draft land use scenarios as part of several of ongoing studies.
Register to attend any of our upcoming workshops this month.

We’re creating a new plan to guide how the Bronte GO Station and surrounding area, known as a “major transit station area”, will grow and change in the future. The plan will seek to create a complete, transit-supportive community. At these workshops, we will be reviewing the study results to date and evaluating draft land use scenarios.

We’re updating the policies that guide development related decisions in Palermo Village, including lands on the north side of Dundas Street within the North Oakville West Secondary Plan.
It is intended that Palermo Village will continue to function as a node for mixed-use development and intensification. At this workshop we will discuss revisions to the growth area boundary, the mix of land uses and the scale of future development in Palermo North.

We’re creating an area plan for the Hospital District which includes the lands north of Dundas Street at Third Line around Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. The plan will consist of land use designations and policies that support a complete community vision for North Oakville, and town-wide mission and principles for a livable community. At this workshop, we will be reviewing the study results to date and evaluating draft land use scenarios.
