Volunteers needed for Accessibility and Heritage Oakville advisory committees

Looking for a new way to get involved locally? Here’s your chance! Oakville Town Council is encouraging residents to take part on two of its advisory committees.

Applications are now being accepted for vacancies on the following committees:

• Accessibility Advisory Committee (three positions available)
• Heritage Oakville Advisory Committee (two positions available)

Each of these committees plays an important role in shaping Oakville for the future.

The Accessibility Advisory Committee works to ensure the town complies with the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). One of the responsibilities of the Heritage Oakville Committee is to make recommendations to Town Council on the identification and protection of heritage resources across Oakville.
