As the province plans for recovery, the town is beginning to carefully and responsibly bring back services and reopen some public spaces, programs and services. Provincial emergency orders and the town’s physical distancing by-law remain in effect. We must all continue to follow guidelines from Public Health officials.

Is there a proposed development in your neighbourhood? Want to find out more about it? Now you can visit the development application page and search for development applications on an interactive map.
“Council and I are committed to ensuring that the town’s work continues to be as open and accessible as possible,” Mayor Rob Burton said. “This new mapping tool is one of the many ways we are bringing technology and government together to further empower Oakville residents.”
This new web-based application allows you to easily browse a map to discover detailed and up-to-date information on current development applications in the Town of Oakville. Information is also available on site plan, condominium, and subdivision applications, as well as zoning by-law and official plan amendment applications, and direct links to supporting documents.
The town, like many other municipalities, uses AMANDA software to track planning applications including information about the application status, description, type, submission date and even the planner on the file. By linking the information stored in AMANDA to the interactive map, the public is getting the most up-to-date detail in real time.
