Mark your calendar! The Town of Oakville and Tim Hortons are proud to present the first-ever Oakville Children’s Festival on Sunday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Coronation Park.
Oakville’s beautiful lakeside park will be transformed into an arts and culture playground for kids of all ages with free live performances and fun events to engage young imaginations and foster creativity. Main stage headliners include: Sharon, Bram & Friends; Sheesham & Lotus; Jack Grunsky; and Corpus – Les moutons.
Exciting opportunities for fun and learning will continue throughout the park with interactive building and art activities, yoga and dance lessons, reptile, magic and science shows, kids’ play zone and obstacle course, face painting, food vendors, and more!
“The Oakville Children’s Festival highlights some of our town’s best qualities — our family-friendly events and our love of arts and culture,” said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton. “Coronation Park is also the perfect setting for Oakville’s newest outdoor festival.”
The aim of the Oakville Children’s Festival is to introduce children to arts and culture in an engaging and interactive way. Face painters, balloon artists, characters and storytellers are sure to capture the curiosity of young minds, while the interactive activities will encourage participation and discovery.
“Tim Hortons Oakville Restaurant Owners are especially pleased to partner with an event that shares our passion for being an active member of the community and creating a positive impact where we live, work, and play. Tim Hortons understands the value of quality experiences for children, be it through our Timbits Sports programs, annual Smile Cookie fundraiser, or events like the Oakville Children’s Festival,” said Tim Hortons Regional Marketing Manager, Julie Granger. “We are proud to sponsor this unique event where kids will have the opportunity to discover the power of their imaginations!”
Coronation Park is located at 1426 Lakeshore Road West. Festival-goers are encouraged to catch a free Oakville Transit shuttle from the Bronte GO Station or ride their bike. Special bike parking corrals will be available on site. Visitors are also reminded to bring a refillable bottle to enjoy fresh and free water from the water bar.
Festival admission is free and the event will take place rain or shine. Visit the Oakville Children's Festival page for the full event schedule.
