Better transit service, thanks to rider feedback!

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

Oakville Transit offers more schedule improvements starting November 30.

Starting November 30, 2014, Oakville Transit users will see service improvements on a number of routes operating from the Oakville GO Station thanks to rider and driver feedback on the system-wide changes that came into effect at the end of August.

Oakville Transit launched all new schedules on August 30, 2014, to coordinate with GO Transit’s new Lakeshore West train schedule.

“After we switched to our new route schedules in August, it became clear that some adjustments would be required,” said Barry Cole, director of Oakville Transit. “We appreciate the feedback from our customers and drivers that has led to these latest improvements.”

Starting Sunday, November 30, 2014, riders on the following routes will benefit from improved departure times from the Oakville GO Station:

Monday to Friday Service

Routes 15 and 20 will have a 5:40 p.m. departure
Routes 13 and 15 will have a 7:10 p.m. departure

Saturday Service

Routes 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 26 and 28 will have an 11:10 p.m. departure
Route 1 will have an 11:40 p.m. departure

Late Night Service on Sundays

Three Late Night Service buses will provide drop-off-only service departing at 7:40 p.m. for Northeast, Northwest and South Oakville.

Other routes adjustments will include:

Route 20 times will be adjusted from Monday to Sunday.
Route 13 will depart from the Bronte GO Station at 5:28 p.m. Monday to Friday instead of the current 5:22 p.m. departure time.

Feedback
