The Town of Oakville will host the 45th annual Novice Swim Meet on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, from 8 a.m. to noon at Brookdale Pool.
With a Welcome to the Jungle theme, over 200 participants aged five to 14 representing seven different town pools will compete in a friendly “pool versus pool” competition for the championship.
“This event has become a popular community tradition that has been entertaining Oakville families for over four decades,” said Nina de Vaal, director of Recreation and Culture for the Town of Oakville. “We invite everyone to join the festivities and cheer or their favourite team.”
Oakville residents are invited to take advantage of family-friendly games and activities in the park. BBQ and refreshments provided by M&M Meats will be available for purchase.
