The Town of Oakville will host the 46th annual Novice Swim Meet on Tuesday, August 30 from 8 a.m. to noon at Brookdale Pool, 1215 Bridge Road.
With a Once Upon a Town storybook theme, over 200 participants aged five to 14 representing seven different town pools will compete in a friendly “pool versus pool” competition for the championship.
“This event is hugely popular and has brought smiles to the community for almost five decades,” said Nina de Vaal, director of Recreation and Culture. “Get in the spirit and come cheer on your favourite team.”
Oakville residents are invited to take advantage of family-friendly games and activities in the park. BBQ and refreshments provided by M&M Meats will be available for purchase.
