The Town of Oakville invites residents to show their national pride at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park on Sunday, July 1 to celebrate Canada Day. This family-friendly evening event features fun activities and entertainment, food trucks, and the always impressive fireworks display over Lake Ontario.
The celebration, sponsored by Lexus of Oakville, begins at 6 p.m. and includes performances by the High Rendition Jazz Band, the Jonathan Michael Group, inflatables, food trucks, face painters and activities for kids in the park. The fireworks display will begin at 10 p.m. weather permitting.
“Canada Day is a special time when we come together as a community to showcase our national pride,” said Mayor Rob Burton. “We’re excited to continue our family tradition in Oakville by celebrating our nation’s birthday with spectacular fireworks.”
Festival-goers are encouraged to take the pay-one-way Oakville Transit shuttle to and from Bronte Go Station. The shuttle starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs every 10 minutes. The last shuttle to the park leaves Bronte GO at 9:30 p.m. Shuttle buses back to Bronte GO will depart the park after the fireworks.
