Notice of study completion for improvements to Sixth Line from Dundas Street to Highway 407 Class Environmental Assessment

The Corporation of the Town of Oakville, through its consultant Morrison Hersheld Ltd. has completed a Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study to facilitate improvements to Sixth Line from Dundas Street to Highway 407 ETR. The study was completed in compliance with Schedule “C” of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, as amended in 2007) which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.

An Environmental Study Report (ESR) has been prepared to document the planning and decision making process undertaken for this study. This notice is to inform all interested individuals and parties that the ESR for this project has been placed in the public record for a 45-day review period in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class EA process. The Town of Oakville must receive comments on this ESR by Monday, September 15, 2014 (within 45 days from the date of this notice).

If concerns regarding this project cannot be resolved through discussions with the town, a person or party may request that the Ministry of Environment order the project to comply with Part II of the Environmental Assessment Act (referred to as a Part II Order) which addresses individual environmental assessments. Requests for a Part II Order must be received by the Minister in writing, at the address provided below by Monday, September 15, 2014.
