Town Services and Facility Closures

Town Hall

Town Hall will be closed as of noon on December 24, 2014,re-opening on January 2, 2015. During the closure, customer service staff from ServiceOakville are available on December 29 and 30 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and December 31 from 8:30-noon by phone at 905-845-6601 or email service@oakville.ca.

Community centres, pools and arenas

Community centres, pools and arenas will be closed from noon on December 24 to 26, December 31, 2014 after 4 p.m. and January 1, 2015. White Oaks Pool will be closed December 21, 2014, to January 4, 2015.

Youth Centres

Oakville Youth Centre and Bronte Youth Centre will be closed December 24 to 26, 31, 2014 and January 1, 2015.

Bronte Youth Centre will be open December 20, 22, 23, 27, 29, 30 and January 2, 3 from 1-8 p.m.

Oakville Youth Centre is open December 23, 27, 30 from 1-8 p.m.

QEPCCC Youth Centre will be closed December 24 to 26, 31, 2014 and January 1, 2015, and open on December 22, 23, 29 and 30, 2014 and January 2, 2015 from 1-6 p.m. and December 27 and January 3, 2015 from 2-6 p.m.

Seniors centres

Seniors centres will be closed at noon on December 24 and will re-open on January 2, 2015 with the following exceptions:

  • The Sir John Colborne Centre will be open for drop-in activities on December 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • The Oakville Seniors' Centre will be open for drop-in activities on December 30 from 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
  • The QEPCCC Senior Centre will be open December 22, 23, 29 and 30, 2014 from 1-4 p.m. and closed on January 2, 2015

Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts

The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts will be closed at noon on December 24 to 26, 2014, and January 1, 2015.

The Oakville Centre will be open for performances on December 27, 28 and 31, 2014.

Oakville Museum

The Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate will be closed December 24 to 26 and re-open December 27. The
museum will be closed January 1, 2015 and will return to regular business hours on January 2, 2015.

Central Operations

Central Operations Depot will be closed at noon on December 24 to 27, and January 1, 2015.

Oakville Public Library

All library branches will be closed from December 24 to 26, 31, 2014 and January 1, 2015.

Fire Administration, Training and Fire Prevention Divisions

Fire Administration, Training and Fire Prevention Divisions will be closed at noon on December 24, 2014 and will re-open on January 2, 2015.

Oakville Transit

Holiday Transit Service will operate as follows:

December 24 — Regular weekday service with early homebound service
December 25 — Holiday service (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
December 26 — Saturday level of service
December 31 — Regular weekday service with early homebound service. Additional Late Night Service will meet the last trains from Toronto, departing the Oakville GO Station at 2:15 and 3:15
January 1 – Holiday service (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
January 2 – regular weekday service
