White Oaks Pool repairs and renovations start June 2, 2014

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

The Town of Oakville is undertaking a renovation of White Oaks Pool and will close the facility on June 2. This facility was built in 1973 and many of the building systems have reached the end of their useful service life. The planned improvements will result in a state-of-the-art water filtration system. Construction is scheduled to start June 2, 2014 and run 20 weeks with an anticipated reopening in October 2014.

The renovation project includes:

  • Replacing and upgrading the pool filtration equipment
  • Replacing old and cracked filter piping under the pool deck and pool tank
  • Replacing and upgrading disinfection controllers and equipment
  • Retiling of the pool deck
  • Painting of pool area walls
  • Building code improvements

We apologize for any inconvenience. During this time we encourage to take advantage of our other aquatics programs and recreational swims at other locations.
