Public information meeting on June 24, 2014, for Sherwood Heights Drive noise wall reconstruction

You are invited to attend a public information centre to get more information on the project, ask questions and provide comments. Please be advised that the drop-in format does not provide for a formal presentation. Residents are encouraged to drop by any time during the two hours.


The Town of Oakville is planning to replace the existing wooden noise wall on Sherwood Heights Drive from Winston Churchill Boulevard to Gibson Drive. The replacement will be completed in two phases:

Phase 1 – Winston Churchill Boulevard to Will Scarlett Drive to be completed in 2014. (August construction start)

Phase 2 – Will Scarlett Drive to Gibson Drive to be completed in 2015. (subject to budget approval)

The proposed works include the removal of the existing wooden noise wall and masonry brick columns. The new noise wall will be a grey-coloured vinyl noise wall (Tuf-Barrier, model STC32, vertical board system).
