Fri, 24 Apr 2015

Beginning in the spring of 2015, the Town of Oakville will begin road reconstruction and repaving of Munn’s Avenue from Bridgewater Road to Sixth Line. The purpose of this project is to improve the driving surface of the road and complete minor infrastructure improvements.

The work will include the following:

  • Reconstruction and repaving of the Munn’s Avenue between Bridgewater Road and Sixth Line
  •  Elimination of headwalls, driveway culverts and ditches and improvements to driveway grades from Bridgewater Road to approximately 170m South
  • New curb and gutter on Munn’s Avenue south of Bridgewater Road (approximately 170 metres)
  • Localized repairs to existing sidewalk and existing curb and gutter on the remainder of the street

The existing sidewalk will not be disturbed with the exception of localized repairs as needed.

It is anticipated that the construction will commence the week of April 27 to May 1, 2015 and will be completed by the end of May 2015. The roadway will be closed to thru-traffic for the duration of construction. Local residents will have access to their driveways at all times. If the contractor needs to close your driveway they will contact you in advance.

If you have any questions, need more information, would like to meet with a Town of Oakville representative to discuss the project or have any accessibility needs please contact
