Portion of Sixteen Mile Creek Trail in Lions Valley Park closed on April 11, 2016 due to flooding and washout

Mon, 11 Apr 2016

A portion of Sixteen Mile Creek Trail in Lions Valley Park has been closed due to flooding and washout. Barricades, as well as marking tape, have been put in place to mark the closure. The area closed is between Dundas Street West and Riverbank Way.

This is a short term closure lasting until we can have a crew evaluate the extent of damage and time frames for repair on April 15, 2016.

While the creek levels are high, it is imperative that people abide by the closure. This occurs when we have high water levels and over the next few days we can expect the water to remain high.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
