The Town of Oakville, seeks a multi-disciplinary development and design team, consortia, real estate developers, or organizations active in property redevelopment and financing, (the proponent), for the redevelopment of town owned lands known as the former Brantwood School site.
The former Brantwood School site is located at 221 Allan Street in Oakville. The site for redevelopment is approximately 0.75 ha in size and excludes a proposed park block, 0.15 ha, which will be retained by the town. The redevelopment of the park block is not part of the scope of this Request for Proposals, (RFP).
The town seeks proposals that will achieve the vision and objectives for the redevelopment of the site as described in this RFP and consistent with the Council endorsed concept (included in the RFP), which includes the use of a portion of the existing heritage school building for residential use as well as single detached units.
The proponent shall have experience with redevelopment of heritage schools or institutional buildings for residential uses as well as traditional single detached residential development with a good track record, sound financial backing, and commitment to implementing creative and high-quality developments in a timely manner within an existing mature residential community.

A supplementary package must be requested by the proponent for review before submitting a proposal. This package will only be provided upon receipt of an original signed Confidentiality Agreement attached as Appendix E of the RFP (no changes permitted) and a non-refundable deposit of $200 in the form of a Certified Cheque / Bank Draft drawn upon one of the chartered banks of Canada and satisfactory to the Town Solicitor payable to the Corporation of the Town of Oakville.
