Town Services and Facility Closures

Town Hall

Town Hall will be closed at 4:30 p.m. on December 22, 2017, re-opening on January 2, 2018. All online services will still be available.

To report urgent problems related to roads, traffic lights and signs, parks and trees or storms, call 905-845-6601 to be connected with our after-hours service.

Parking

To book temporary overnight parking please use our online permit system.

Community centres, pools and arenas

Community centres, pools and arenas will be closed:

  • at noon on December 24
  • December 25 and 26
  • at 4 p.m. on December 31
  • January 1

Youth Centres

Youth Centres will be closed December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 1.

Seniors centres

Seniors centres will be closed on December 22 and will re-open on January 2, 2017 with the following exceptions:

  • The Sir John Colborne Centre will be open for drop-in activities on December 27 from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.

Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts

The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts box office will be closed December 24 to 27, 30 and January 1.

The Oakville Centre will be open for performances on December 28, 29 and 31.

Oakville Museum

The Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate will be closed December 24, 25 26, 31 and January 1.

The museum will be open December 27 and will return to regular business hours on January 2, 2018.

Central Operations

Central Operations Depot will be closed December 24, 25, 26, 30, 31 and January 1.

Oakville Public Library

All library branches will be closed December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 1.

Fire Administration, Training and Fire Prevention Divisions

Fire Administration will be closed at 4:30 p.m. on December 22, 2017 and will re-open on January 2, 2018.

The Fire Prevention and Fire Training Divisions will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2017, and January 1, 2018.

December 22: Regular weekday service with additional connections to GO's early homebound service
December 24:  Sunday level of service
December 25: Sunday level of service 
December 26: Saturday level of service
December 27 and 28: Regular weekday service with additional connections to GO's early homebound service
December 30: Saturday level of service
December 31: Saturday level of service with additional Late Night Service to meet the last trains from Toronto, departing the Oakville GO Station. Ride FREE after 7 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
January 1: Sunday service
January 2: Regular weekday service

School specials will not operate the week of December 25 to 29, 2017.
