As the province plans for recovery, the town is beginning to slowly bring back services and reopen some public spaces. Provincial emergency orders and the town’s physical distancing by-law remain in effect. We must all continue to follow guidelines from Public Health officials.

Conservation Halton has issued a flood outlook for Oakville. Rain is expected. Near the lake, high waves and potential for shoreline erosion can make for slippery and extremely dangerous conditions. Natural channels and creeks are also experiencing higher than normal water levels and flows. Stormwater management ponds are also reacting to heavy rainfall and are higher than normal. Please use caution around creeks, ponds and the lake.
Bronte and Oakville piers, all trails/walkways along Lake Ontario, all grass sportsfields, Coronation Park, Gairloch Gardens, Dingle Park and Carrington Promenade are closed.
For more information on flood status visit the Conservation Halton website.
