As the province plans for recovery, the town is beginning to carefully and responsibly bring back services and reopen some public spaces, programs and services. Provincial emergency orders and the town’s physical distancing by-law remain in effect. We must all continue to follow guidelines from Public Health officials.

The town continues to move forward with its plan to construct a new community centre and neighbourhood park in south east Oakville as part of the redevelopment of the former hospital site.
This park will be 0.6 ha in size and situated on the north side of the community centre and constructed in conjunction with the community centre. Parks and Open Space staff have been working with a landscape architectural firm and the architect for the community centre in developing options for the design of the park. Also during the meeting, Recreation and Culture staff will provide an update on the progress of the design of the community centre.
Please join us at this open house for an opportunity to review and provide feedback on the design and facility options. Recreation and Culture staff will also provide a progress update on the community centre design.
