As the province plans for recovery, the town is beginning to carefully and responsibly bring back services and reopen some public spaces, programs and services. Provincial emergency orders and the town’s physical distancing by-law remain in effect. We must all continue to follow guidelines from Public Health officials.

The Trafalgar Park Revitalization Project taking place on the corner of Kerr Street and Rebecca Street requires after-hours construction activity from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. from October 16 to November 15, 2017. This work is not continuous. It will only occur a few times during this time period and for a few hours at a time.
The construction activity involves large concrete pours that cannot be completed before 7 p.m. This work is weather dependent, so the contractor is unable to indicate in advance which days it will take place.
During times when workers are on site after hours, they will be finishing the concrete with power trowels fitted with mufflers to reduce the noise. Additionally, the contractor has installed tarps on all openings adjacent to the pours to help mitigate noise.
With these measures in place, the noise associated with after-hours work is expected to be minimal.
